Towns to visit in Gloucestershire
The city of Gloucester strikes an attractive balance with historic heritage and modern living. From its impressive cathedral (Harry Potter fans will recognise it!) to Gloucester Docks, to its shopping, dining, museums and attractions, Gloucester has lots to offer. It also makes an excellent base for exploring the rest of Gloucestershire with great transport links.
The Regency spa town of Cheltenham is known for its fabulous festivals, theatres, spa waters and boutique shopping. Definitely well worth a visit. Pay a visit to the Roman town of Cirencester and the unique town of Stroud, with its eclectic mix of galleries, shops, cafes and a great brewery.
