If you are taking your dog on holiday with you, or simply looking for a great day out at venues and attractions which welcome dogs, you'll be pleased to discover that there are lots of great choices in the Cotswolds, the South West and the Midlands.

For example, as part of The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), not only does Gloucestershire offer an abundant selection of stunning walks and dog friendly accommodation, pubs and cafes, but you'll also be able to take your canine friend with you to some of the incredible gardens, arboretums and historic houses in the area. They can even enjoy a steam train journey with you.

As a destination Gloucestershire is rich with historic towns and cities such as Cheltenham and Gloucester City and abundant in outdoor activities offered by the Forest of Dean (covering 27,000 acres of woodland) & Wye Valley. Not to mention the beautiful Severn Vale with wonderful walks along the rivers Severn & Avon and the canals. Wagging tails and happy humans guaranteed!

Take a look at these great dog friendly attractions below.

Top tip: Be sure to visit each website before you travel to see if there are any parts of the attraction which might not be suitable for dogs, or in case their dog policy has recently changed.
