Unique Tour of a Working Colliery

Hopewell Colliery is a working coal mine that offers a unique experience to explore and learn about the fascinating way of life in the Forest of Dean.

During a guided tour, experienced miners will take you underground and through the mine workings, providing you with a full insight into the history of the mine. After the tour, you will exit the mine workings and find yourself in the peaceful Forest of Dean woodland where you can take a short stroll back to the cafe, museum and gift shop - all of which are completely free to access!
