Explore Art and Culture at the RWA Bristol
Step through the doors of one of Bristol’s most striking buildings and you’ll find a world of art waiting to be explored. The Royal West of England Academy (RWA) occupies a beautiful Grade II listed building in the heart of the city and has been bringing outstanding visual art to the South West for more than 170 years.
As Bristol’s first art gallery, the RWA has a long history of championing artists and continues to showcase an inspiring mix of exhibitions from the UK and around the world. Alongside the galleries, its programme includes workshops, talks and lectures, giving visitors plenty of ways to get closer to the art.
There’s a mix of ticketed and free exhibitions throughout the year, and your ticket helps support the RWA as an independent charity – so your visit helps keep this important part of Bristol’s cultural scene thriving!
